Home to over 15,000 butterflies spanning over 45 majestic species of butterflies housed in ten custom-built, climate-controlled domes, Dubai Butterfly Garden is a true hidden gem of not only Dubai but the wider UAE. Dubai Butterfly Garden offers visitors an oasis filled with nature’s most beautiful winged creatures. Spanning more than 6,673 square metres of indoor and outdoor gardens packed with thousands of colourful plants and flowers, the garden temperature is a pleasant 18-25 degree Celsius all year-round – perfect for people, plants and butterflies.

We understand that it can be tiring to spend hours enthralled by the wonder of our beautiful butterflies, especially for little legs. That’s why we opened the Dubai Butterfly Garden Kids Cinema.

It runs a selection of educational movies, animations and butterfly life cycle, which provides an entertaining and fascinating insight into the lives of our favourite flying creatures. But that’s not all in store for little ones here. We’ve also got a library of family-friendly Disney films to keep them entertained after a couple of hours roaming the butterfly-packed domes.

The in-house team at Dubai Butterfly Garden go beyond guiding visitors to these wonderful creatures. They’ve also created a magnificent gallery of hand-crafted artworks using thousands of butterflies. The works range from recreations of classical art pieces to large portraits. Every frame in the museum has been carefully crafted by the same people who take care of our live butterflies. When one passes away, the team takes great care to preserve the butterfly’s native state, then assimilates it as part of a greater piece of art that blends human creativity and the beauty of nature’s resources.

Dubai Butterfly Garden isn’t all about play and relaxation, though you’ll find plenty here. Beyond the fun and games, we try to place a strong emphasis on educating visitors of all ages about butterflies. Here, you can witness the actual butterfly lifecycle – from egg to caterpillar, pupa to adult butterfly – and gain insight into their metamorphosis, which is perhaps the most inherently fascinating thing about these creatures. Dubai Butterfly Garden offers an opportunity to recognize, celebrate and appreciate the butterfly in all its growth stages. Visitors can also learn about these creatures’ natural habitats.
